Hey, I’m Dr. Talia!

I am a Mental Health Expert, Chronic Illness Coach, and Consultant for Mission-Driven Teams.

I take a full-system perspective. Healing doesn’t only happen 1:1.

My work is grounded in the belief that healing is shaped by more than our inner experience. It’s impacted by the presence of validating relationships, access to supportive tools and care, and humane treatment within medical systems.

This is why I work 1:1 with coaching clients, consult with companies and nonprofits that build products and services for mental and physical wellbeing, and train therapists and medical providers on how to treat patients with chronic health conditions in more compassionate, informed ways.

My goal is to help create more ease, more joy, and more meaningful momentum, whether your goals are personal or business.

With a PhD in Clinical Psychology and over 15 years living with multiple complex chronic conditions, I offer a unique combination of professional mental health expertise and lived experience of chronic illness.

My journey hasn’t been easy. I’ve faced long stretches of debilitating symptoms from POTS, hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, endometriosis, and PTSD, navigated the medical bureaucracy and insurance mazes, and carried the heavy emotional weight of grief, shame, internalized ableism and fear of the unknown that come with living with illness.

But I’ve also discovered the healing power of joy, creativity, and present-moment awareness. Over the last eight years, I’ve slowly and intentionally reconnected with my body and rebuilt a sense of safety and presence. I now share my expertise and tools with individuals, companies, and providers to promote greater wellbeing.

Dr. Talia, chronic illness support expert with lived experience

This work is personal, but it’s also professional…

I’ve contributed to 14 academic papers, and presented widely on my research for professional, student, and lay audiences. I’ve supported more than 100 individuals through mentorship and coaching, and have helped thousands more via Instagram and Substack.

I believe in a ripple effect: when one person with chronic illness feels truly seen and supported, they carry that healing into every space they move through. And when the systems around them shift to be more compassionate and inclusive, that healing becomes even more sustainable.
